What differentiates Quest AV from other competitors?

Our vast team of knowledgeable and friendly staff have established themselves as lead players in the audio-visual industry.

With clients across North America we are recognized for our unique approach to event planning and the supporting technological aspects.

As such, we have become the in-house and exclusive supplier of audio-visual services in several venues throughout the GTA and for many event planners and organizations.

Do you offer credit applications?
Yes, we offer credit applications for long term clients who wishes to have more flexiblity with our payment terms. Please speak with our account managers for more details and the application form.

Location

Do you do work outside of Toronto, Canada?
Yes, Quest AV is proud to support our clients across the world (15+ countries and counting).
Am I required to use the in-house AV supplier?
In most cases, no. There may be additional costs to use an outside AV supplier, however we will assist in providing value equal to this outside vendor fee.
Do you have an in-house partners with event venues?

Planning

How far in advance do I have to book my AV services?

As soon as possible! Depending on the size of your event, we recommend at least five business days before the event to give us time in case of changes or a site inspection is required.

How can we stay within budget without sacrificing quality?
Budget is always a concern when planning an event. With careful advance preparation and a close working relationship with an audiovisual production team, you can budget dollar wisely for the audio-visual services that makes the most sense.
Do I have to use the in-house AV provider?

In most cases, the answer is NO. If you’re ever in doubt, give us a shout!

Equipment

What if I don’t know what kind of AV equipment I require for my event?
Our team would be happy to schedule a meeting to learn more about your event and we can make recommendations on the specific equipment requirements for your event.
Why is stage lighting important?
Stage lighting can manipulate the mood, selective focus, modelling and visibility, making the ambience just right for your event.
What are advantages of a comfort monitor?
When you have comfort monitors, presenters don’t have to turn off the microphone or turn around to look at the screen. The comfort monitor can be used for presentation notes that the audience doesn’t see.
What are stage monitors and why would I need one?

Stage monitors are performer facing monitors used for amplifying the performer’s sounds.

What are the differences between a wired microphone and a microphone?

Normal wired microphones are often slow and cumbersome to pass around. In addition, they can quickly kill the flow of discussion.

On the other hand, Wireless microphones are easy to handle, can be used to engage your audience and can be used for any type of event be it large or small.

Production

Does Quest provide custom content creation?
Yes, we are happy to provide custom content creation for your event.
Are you able to provide 3D renderings/CAD drawings that will show me exactly what I’m getting?
Yes. Depending on the size/scope of your event our team can provide detailed 3D renderings and/or CAD drawings to support an event design.
Does lighting make a difference if it’s a daytime event?

Yes, it certainly does. Depending on the venue and variables at play, lighting can make all the difference for your event, regardless if it’s during the day or at night. Connect with us and we can show you.

Why should clients make time for soundcheck/rehearsal with the people who will be speaking on stage?

Soundcheck is as important as your actual performance because firstly it ensures that all microphones and inputs are connected and working correctly.

Secondly, to set the levels and tonal balance of instruments and voices, both individually and in combination, so that the performance can begin without further adjustment.

If you do your sound check well, you can be confident that you are going to have a great performance.

What is the importance of having background music versus no music for events?
Background music is important for setting up a mood for your event. Depending upon your event type, music can alter the ambience of your event.
